Nordmarka, outside Oslo, winter of 1940-1

Description from Flickr page:

From left: my uncle Henrik, my mother Sylvia, my aunt Karen and Ernst. Karen and Ernst later (January 1944) married in Sweden, since they were refugees from the German occupation of Norway at the time. Not much sign of war and occupation in this shot, but the king and the government had fled the country and put up an exile government in London; and a Norwegian underground resistance movement was being built up at the time.
